Lost Luggage?

A little planning will help make the best of a bad situation!

It would be best to have a few items of clothing in your hand luggage, at least to ensure you have a change of clothing for two days. This is just in case your luggage has another destination in mind (some of my luggage has travelled to places I have never been).

If you lose your documentation?

A simple tip to help you avoid a paperwork nightmare!

Make a list of travellers cheques and photocopy important travel documents including airline and other tickets, passport, visa and vaccination records. Place a copy in your hand luggage, one in your suitcase and leave a copy at home.

Identify Your Bags as Fragile

When you first arrive at the check-in counter, request that your bags be marked 'fragile'. This will keep them at the top of the pile and they will be among the first to come out in the baggage claim!
